So near .. yet so far

Our team participated in a 5-A side tournament in Kalyan at Railway Ground.

The first match was against a team from kalyan with very experienced players. We played a very nice game and won the match convincingly. But there was lot to learn from the game. Goals were scored by Sanoj & Akash.

Second game was against "All Friends" team from Dombivli. The game was very evenly poised with All Friends taking the lead in first half. Abdul Siddiqui's pass was not read by one of the defenders and always alert Prashant was there to send the ball in the back of the net. First half locked at 1-1 each.

Second half started on a positive note for us. And a moment of brilliance from Akash Rajput saw SSAC taking the lead. SSAC 2-1 All Friends.

A moment of over enthusiasm saw Mahendra & Akash rushing for the ball and All Friends were able to equalise with 3-4 minutes left.

Prashant and Akash both missed there penalties, whereas All Friends converted all their penalties.

There is still lot of scope for improvement in our game and hope the boys will take note of it and work towards it.
