All Friends Club 7-a side tournament update.

Both our teams (Seniors & Juniors) participated in this 7-a side tournament.
With Royals (Seniors) were placed third in this tournament.
While SSAC (juniors) went out fighting in the quarter finals.

Seniors entered this tournament on saturday with the following players:
Rakesh Menon, Akash Rajput, Eian Falho, Rikesh Jingale, Bala Reddy,
Robinson, Jinesh Patel, Regi, Blesson Mathew & Mahendra Sharma

Seniors played well and won couple of matches convincingly, but the expected finishing was not there during the tournament. The combination and synchronisation between players was not there and it was clearly evident.

All the senior team players have to be present for the practise sessions for achieving proper synchronisation.

Performances from Rikesh, Eian & Jinesh were good and noticable.

Juniors entered this tournament on sunday with the following players:
Nitin (Juniors), Nikhil Gaikwad, Bhushan, Prateek, Tinkle, Amol, Rohit, Sankalp, Karthik, Subbu & Devendra Sharma

Juniors first match was against Diamonds Sports Club, Ambernath. Nitin created many chances for both Subu & Rohit, but they were unable to finish.

Nitin kept on creating more and more chances during the match but our strikers were unable to convert them. Rohit was very clinical throughout the game and took many shots on target.

There was a mistake at the back and Diamonds were able to score. 1-0 Diamonds were ahead.

Second half saw the team display a more spirited performance. Devendra created an opening for Subbu and he didnt miss the chance to hit the back of the net. Subu playing in his favourite position as a striker was very excited about this goal.

It was 1-1 at full time and penalty shootouts started.
Juniors won the match as Devendra pulled out a nice save and Nitin converted the final penalty shot.

Second match for the juniors was against All Friends Club Senior team.

Although the All Friends senior team was the most experienced team in the tournament, our players performed well.

Many chances were created and but not converted. Subbu missed out on a simple opportunity but still he performed well.

Nikhil and Prateek were good in defense. Bhushan's lack of tournament experience was clearly evident.

Nitin, Subbu, Rohit & Prateek performed really well during this tournament.

There's still lot to work upon and learn from this tournament. This new set of players performed really well and impressed the senior team also.

It was just the lack of experience and stamina, which was working against them.

But we are sure this team will be the best very soon. All the best boys and your performance was really encouraging. Hope you contiue to perform like this and rest to follow the same.

Have a nice day ahead.
