Royal United vs CMC RKT

Match report of the match between Royal United & CMC RKT held on Sunday the 2nd may. Morning kick-off at 9.30 am.
Both the teams went in with a hope to win the match as every team does. But the scene here was different. Royals needed a better goal difference i.e. they needed to win with a bigger margin.

First half:

In the first half royals played some brilliant football down the left hand side. Mangesh was doing an excellent job on the line and subheesh was supporting him brilliantly.
Reji came in with the first chance of the match, with shooting 5-6 yards wide of the far post. The central mids rakesh and pandian were looking a threat for the opposition as they were doing a great job and feeding the wingers rikesh and mangesh constantly.
Sanoj was playing more of a defensive role while suneeth was attacking in between. The teams went in balanced at half time. Scoreline 0-0.

Second half:

Again as the first half, second half too looked dominating for royals. Some good play in the defence and then on the left side helped the ball get into the oppositions penalty area where rikesh was well positioned to pull a trigger on the volley. But he shooted well wide.

At the back milind w pulled in 2-3 good saves which were created by CMC RKT. Due to some good play in midfield it was rakesh who received the ball in the centre of the pitch with just one man to beat, and he easily dribbled past the last defender to slot home with one on one with the goal keeper. It was a crisp finish at the far post.

Reji missed some good chances in the second half, which his team-mates thought he should have scored. Rikesh was replaced by prashant and blesson was replaced by devendra. Prashant looked a threat in CM as he passed in some good through balls to reji and devendra. The final whistle blew, which really was a sigh of relief for the CMC RKT guys.

All in all, even though royals won the match, they were really unhappy because they deserved more goals for the way they played. It was a great end to the season for the Royals.
